When the West Hallow, one of the Four Guardians of Planet Ween, attacks Scare Force One, President Tepes crash-lands inside the dreaded prison colony District 13 carrying a mysterious hexagonal case she'll kill to reclaim. With the President of Halloween trapped and the planet on edge, Commander Ichabod Crane, Special Agent Katrina Van Tassel, and their cybernetic security officer Robo Bones of the Monster Intelligence Agency (MIA) enlist an unlikely ally-a pool-hall-roaming, bar-fighting vigilante with a pumpkin for a head and nothing left to lose. Went into Pumpkin Patch not really knowing what to expect and ended up having a blast. It’s absolutely absurd in the best way — sci-fi, Halloween, action, and comedy all mashed together with a pumpkin-headed vigilante at the center of it. The movie fully leans into the absurdity of it instead of trying to explain it away, which honestly makes it way more ridiculous and fun. The pacing is quick, there’s always something happening, and it doesn’t overstay its welcome. Pumpkin Patch feels like a movie that knows exactly what it’s trying to be and just goes for it. The humor lands, the world is creative, and the whole thing has strong cult-movie energy. If you like offbeat movies, Halloween vibes, or just want something different that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this one’s an easy recommendation. Looking forward to cheackk g out more of Gage's work!
